When we had the chance to write an article about the successful author and interior designer Emily Henderson, it was no way to not come across Brady Tolbert who works as the editorial director at Emily’s Design Studio. We totally fell in love with his Instagram account and his blog which he runs on the side. One of our favorite projects of him was the decoration of his own home, especially his bedroom styling is just amazing.

Since Brady is surrounded by beautiful interior and decor on a daily basis, it’s no wonder that he has become a passionate collector of vintage interior and design pieces. Placing and arranging all these beautiful things that he collected from antique shops, thrift stores, and flea markets in his own home and making it all work together effortlessly really became a daunting task for Brady. He took on the challenge and created a unique space that speaks for itself and perfectly underlines his personality. But let’s have a look at the amazing results below.

Brady’s home in L.A. has really become a casual, comfy, and refined retreat with a masculine touch. His place features his eclectic collection of beautiful finds that enrich all of his rooms, paired with beautiful vintage lighting everywhere, handmade artisan pieces, ceramic accessories and artworks that also add a touch of personality. Brady really shows how to create a brilliant mix of vintage and modern interior paired with some amazingly simple but yet powerful D.I.Y. goodness. Throughout his space, you will find a lot of textures as well as neutral colors like grays, whites, creams, and blacks that work just perfectly with some pops of gold here and there. And since we just have given you a glance at the beautiful home of Brady Tolbert we also want to shed some light on his story as well.

“Rather than being someone else in your design, find what you love, what makes you happy and what inspires you and bring those into your space to reflect who you are and your unique personality.”Brady Tolbert | Source: bradytolbert.com

Brady was born and raised up in Utah and he has always been a creative child with a love and a desire for design. After he finished High School, Brady studied both Violin Performance and Architecture which had a noticeable impact on his creative pursuits and his work as an interior designer and stylist. Brady began working as an intern under Frank Gehry in Washington D.C. and moved on to work for a luxury interior design firm in L.A. After a few years and a lot of experiences by trial and error, Brady came across a job offer that Emily Henderson posted on her Instagram account. He took his chance and applied for his dream job, even tho he never expected to get it. Everything worked out perfectly for Brady and since 2014 he has been part of the Emily Henderson Design Team as the Editorial Director with his focus on managing the blog, producing content and photo shoots, and assisting with design projects.

“Life isn’t about crossing things off of a checklist; it is about enjoying the journey, making mistakes, getting messy, laughing along the way and figuring it out as it all happens.”Brady Tolbert | Source: bradytolbert.com

On the side, he is running his blog with some great interior inspiration, his own home makeovers, helpful D.I.Y tips and openhearted stories from his day to day living. Whenever there is time left Brady loves to wander around antique shops, thrift stores, and flea markets where he is always in search for the next great find. If you haven’t got Brady Tolbert on your list, you should definitely pay him a visit on his Instagram and on his blog.
